Industrial rock music has often been darker, more negative, however this is beginning to change. There is this really upbeat recovery music I came across by Matt Soren that has a new perspective on industrial music. His CD is a mix of industrial rock and the concept of beating addiction.
There are some song previews at his site at www.returnfrombroken.com. It looks like the songs are temporary in lou of final recordings. They sound professional to me but that’s just my opinion. It is cool to see more rock like this written particularly for addiction recovery in a more enjoyable way from someone that has already been through it and is making an impact for others. It’s nice to have this type of music arising from the industrial scene which is almost always darker in nature.
In addition, he has free downloads you can get from his site and more in his back extras page which is no charge. I also saw discounts, graphics, and other things it looks like he’ll be adding. It will be nice to see the album once it is available. That’s my two cents!
